The National Agency for European Educational Programmes and Mobility in cooperation with the Student Cultural Centre organized a creative workshop entitled “Everything Begins with a Word”, on the occasion of May 24 – the Day of the Macedonian Brothers and Educators, Saints Cyril and Methodius.

The focus of the workshop was writing a short story. High school students from Skopje, accompanied by their mentors – Macedonian language teachers, had a rare opportunity to learn from the great short story writer Aleksandar Prokopiev and professor Tatjana Aleksić from the renowned SUGS “Rade Jovchevski – Korchagin”.

In an atmosphere filled with inspiration, ideas and love for the word, the young future authors explored the secrets of a good short story through practical work, advice and direct conversations with the event’s educators.

The best short stories will be symbolically awarded.

The workshop is part of the National Agency's "Take a Step" campaign, which includes creativity and literacy among young people, as foundations of European values ​​and cultural connection.
